Hola Familia! So this week was amazing. I think Easter on the mission is my favorite! This week we were able to do a Mission fast on Friday where every single mission and their ward mission leader fasted! It was seriously amazing! Hermana Dean went from having no work and finding finding finding to.....4 potential investigator lesson coming up this week!! Isn't that so cool! Its just amazing to me how the Lord works!!! We seriously have been praying, talking to everyone, knocking door, and then praying some more for investigators. So miracles there is light shining through the window. You know fasting truly is amazing. If I have learned anything on my mission its that fasting really does work every time! Other things that are happened this week....oh we had our last Sunday in the beautiful chapel with the view of the city. All those city pictures....hahaha yup thats the chapel view for ya. But now we are moving to the East....and lets just say its not the most beautiful view;) hahaha thats alright the Lord knows where he needs us ya! Also Hermana Dean and I received a referral from Angel who is the East Elders recent convert. His friend Yalitza just came from Cuba a week ago! Angel called up the Elders and told them that he had a referral for us and she came to church on Sunday! I got to talk to her after church and she said she like it a lot especially relief society! I am so excited! She legit is like the cutest girl ever! She is SO nice! So we are going to go and visit her this Thursday and her mom is there too! For reals its going to be a great week in the Kingdom. We also visited with this less active that we had the chance to show the video Hallelujah and it was so wonderful. The spirit was so strong and afterwards I realized that I recognized her house. I had been there before this time LAST year! AHHHH Isn't that crazy! It was a lesson that we had when I was like a week or two old in the mission. We had the lesson with the Elders and I had no idea what was going on and I couldn't understand one word. Hahaha the best part is now I can totally understand her and I remember exactly who is she! It was so awesome! Its really funny being back in your baby area! Well there is going to be a lot of incredible miracles this week! Love you so much familia! I hope that you all have a wonderful week and that you all had a wonderful Easter! Love you all!!!LoveHermana Allphin

trainings, exchanges, and a talk hahaha the adventure is real;)
Hola familia!Hope you all had a wonderful week. My week was an adventure for sure! We had lots of meetings which is always the best for getting your spirits up. So we started out the week with Zone Conference which was so much fun! I love hearing Presidents testimony and this one was all about the Atonement! There is nothing more powerful than a testimony on the Atonement. President and Sister Miles made this book of conference talks that we are going to read up until May and then we all get to go to the Temple together....as a mission!!! Isn't that so cool!!! I am so excited!! Legit! So so so excited! Hermana Dean and I gave two trainings for ZTMs and that was so cool. Hahaha its a lot harder than it looks for sure but its super spiritual. Hermana Dean and I had the coolest inspriation planning for it! It was awesome! Kind of scary hahaha I still don't know why God is having me do this right now but I will give it my best. We went on exchanges and I love the sisters so much! Usually I am not the biggest fan of exchanges but it was so much fun! The sisters truly are amazing! Such hard workers with such solid testimonies! hahahaha and now for the funniest and scariest part of the week.....dun dun dun. So...we had correlation before church on Sunday with our Ward mission leader so we got there a little early right. Come to find out that there was a member scheduled to give a talk that day who wasn't coming to church. Hahahaha so because I am new they decided to choose me to give a talk instead. So 20 minutes before church starts our ward mission leader comes up and says "so and so isn't coming to church today, they need you to give you testimony Hermana Allphin is that okay" Well I can't really say no right....so I am like "ummm ya okay sure" hahahah then he goes "just a short 7-8 testimony....." Hahahahaha what?!?! Nope thats a talk! A testimony is a solid 2-3 minutes hahaha. So I quickly opened my scriptures and picked one. Hahaha I was so nervous thinking "oh my goodness I hope that my Spanish will be okay.....I just got transferred in I hope that I can speak well" I prayed all during the Sacrament and my heart was pounding out of my chest I was so nervous. I got up there a completely winged it! hahahaha and to my surprise it didn't go to bad. It wasn't perfect but God for sure helped me give the talk. So hahaha I guess sometimes God asks you to do funny things but he always helps in the end. Besides any time I get to share my testimony on the Savior and Missionary Work for sure bring blessing right? Love you so much familia! I hope that you all have a wonderful and incredible week!LoveHermana Allphin

Let's play a game

Hola familiaI hope that you all had a good week. This week has been an adventure for sure. Hermana Dean and I have been finding......and finding....and finding. Hahahaha but its been fun. All my comps know this and hahaha they get real scared because when I get bored I just look at my comps and say "let play a game." These games usually involve something embarrassing but so funny! So for Hermana Dean and I it has been the tracking game. The rules of of the game are one companion gives the other one a random word. The other companion who has received the word then has to say it at the door. The best was I gave Hermana Dean the word shoes....hahahaha which is an easy word. Oh my goodness I have never laughed so hard. She was so nervous to say the word shoes.....so we were at this door with this sweet little Chinese lady who didn't speak a word of English. Hahahaha (we got you Mandarin Elders #referral) Hermana Dean was so nervous to say her word she took advantage of the fact this lady didn't speak English and yells out "hey I love your shoes" hahahaha the best part the lady wasn't even wearing shoes. But she had no idea and got this huge grin on her face and just nodded her head and said "thank you thank you" I just about died laughing. How in the world did that even work? hahahaha Hermana Dean died laughing too. The game is real silly but it makes the work fun. Hermana Morgan was the funniest every time I said "lets..play a game...?" (with the eyebrows of course) she would just look at me and say "No Hermana I really don't think your games are a good idea" hahahaha that time we ended up throwing ice cream sandwiches at the Elders....or chasing a deer around the parking lot. (That one was with Hermana Ratliff) hahaha it for sure makes the work interesting. We also got to go MLC this week. It was so cool. President is so amazing I love hearing from him. The adventure is real here in the North. I have been laughing a lot. hahahaha its been great! Well that is all I got for this week. We taught Teresa y Raoul this week. They are awesome. They are investigators who are slowing progressing but they are reading and praying to know. I love teaching lessons so I can't wait to fill our teaching pool. This is a wonderful area with so much potential and work to do. It's great to be back in the north! Well I hope you all have a wonderful week familia! I love you lots!!!!!!!LoveHermana Allphin

Transfers and my baby area
Hola familiaI am back in the North and its so different! I went to church on Sunday and just about died! It was a little hard leaving the branch for sure but the ward is great. Its crazy because I transferred in and the Elders had a baptism. It was so good! His name is Angel and he is the best! I was so happy for them! They are working so hard up here! For reals this area has so much work I am beyond excited!!! Its been kind of different getting the hang of things again but I love it. Hahaha my favorite part is I can understand everyone know. This time last year when I was here in the Ward I couldn't understand anyone and now I can understand everyone! Its so great! Hahaha I love the people so much! I forgot how awesome this area is. Its different being a Sister Training Leader...hahahahaha I laughed when I got the call. I was like "are you sure President?" but the sisters in my zone and in central zone are incredible. The work continues for sure! The new Spanish sister is so cute! Her Spanish is already super good! Hermana Ratliff and Morgan are going to kill it training her! They are going to do so awesome! Hope all is well in Utah! Hahaha oh and funny story its has just turned into spring. We also found this neighborhood full of Spanish families. It was the biggest miracle ever! Hermana Dean and I contacted 4 Spanish houses the spirit was on fire on Saturday! Isnt that crazy! Hahahaha so awsome! Well I hope that you have a wonderful week familia! LOVE YOULoveHermana Allphin

Back to the north?!?!

| ESL!! |
Hola FamiliaWow the adventure is going to be so real up here in Canada. There is a new Spanish sister and Elder coming on Wednesday but we are even numbers in the Spanish program so....there are two three legs in the branch. Hermana Ratliff and Hermana Morgan are training the new Hermana in the Branch and I am being transferred to the Ward in the North with Hermana Dean. Crazy! I am excited for sure! The last time I was in the Ward I did not speak Spanish well at all and now I get to go back and understand and talk to these people. I am so excited! This week was incredible! We had two lessons with Adriana and she is so amazing! She is one of the most prepared people I have ever met. She is just so sweet. We had a lesson on Monday and then we had another lesson on Saturday. It was so funny because her husband is away working right now and she had this big piece of furniture that she had to move. So....we asked the Elders (heaven knows we can't lift it). It was SO funny! It was super heavy and the hall way was too small. Then we had to try and fit it in the Elevator. We finally get it down stairs and she didn't have a key to get it into the garage......she also doesn't speak English so Hermana Ratliff and I are going around the building asking people if they have a key. Hahahaha long story short after a good hour the elders dragged this massive wood cabinet thing from the 4th floor. hahahaha so funny! After we had this amazing lesson with her about the Restoration and Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong and she is incredible. I have no doubt it wont be long for this incredible family! The adventure was real. It was kind of hard saying goodbye yesterday at church to the Branch member. They for sure changed me life! I am very excited for transfers though and exited for this new part of the mission. Love you all familia.LoveHermana Allphin

Sometimes you just have to laugh
This week was a really good week. We were able to set up some really good appointments for this up coming week and visit our less actives. We had some really spiritual lessons with the less actives in the branch. I love them so much. The thing that I love the most is that they still have testimonies and when they share them its the most powerful thing that you can even imagine. Miguel came to church and ESL. He just got back from his family vacation in Toronto. He loved church we have lessons set up with him this week as well. I am so excited for this up coming week. Hermana Ratliff and I have been working super hard. I am so excited to see how everything turns out. We went tracking this week and people were very rude but no worries we just laughed at them and walked away. Maybe next time angry man with the bear door. Hahaha heaven knows missionaries are going to be back in this neighborhood;) The Lord loves them way to much to leave them alone. That is what I love about the Lord. He loves us so much!! Well that is it for this week. I love you so much familia!LoveHermana Allphin

Prayers work so well!
Hola FamiliaSo this week was a really good week. We were able to have a lesson with Leila and Luis. It was so awesome because Hermana Ratliff and I had both been feeling like we needed to go and see them. So we drove to there house and they weren't home. So we were both really confused and we had no idea what to do. So we prayed because there had to be some reason we were in the area right. When I opened my eyes I saw this car with a Mexican Flag sticker on the back. So we jump out of the car and follow it. Come to find out that there is like 3 Spanish families that live in the same neighborhood as Leila and Luis. We didn't get in with any of them because there were all busy at the moment but we are for sure going back this week. But here is were the miracle came we walk back around and Leila and Luis are home! So we had a really good lesson with them as well. It was so awesome! I could see perfectly how the Lord just had a wait just a little bit longer so that we could have the lesson when they got home. We also saw the Morales this week and Carla is still getting ready to go on a mission! I am so happy for her. She is so sweet and just so amazing! There family looks so happy right now and I am so happy for that. It is so interesting to me how prayer works and how every time we pray for direction the Lord leads us exactly where we need to be. We have a lot of really good lessons set up for this week and I am so excited! I hope that you have a wonderful week familia! Love you lotsLoveHermana Allphin
