Spanish Sisters of Calgary

Hola familia
Ok are you ready for this craziness!! So this week was transfers and because there are only 3 Spanish sisters in the whole mission right now we were put in a 3 leg! It has been fun! So they took sisters out of the Branch which was no fun, but then as of Friday we got a call from President....WE ARE NOW SERVING IN THE WARD AND THE BRANCH!!! We are beyond excited!! So much work is coming our way! We have investigators in both and we have referrals from both! This is incredible! We are going to be the busiest sisters ever but I am so excited! This is the best busy in the entire world!! There are so many incredible people here! So many prepared and wonderful people!!!! So we taught Carla and Lucy this week and it was such an amazing lesson. We went over baptism and priesthood again. It was exactly what they needed. The spirit was so strong! Carla wants the gift of the Holy Ghost so badly and now it wont be long until they know for sure the church is true. We inviting them to baptism again and they said yes but they still wont commit to a date. We are going to keep trying I know that the Lord is working hard on them. They are so ready I can feel it. Carla and Lucy are miracles! They are two of the greatest people ever! I love them so much!!! We get to go see Yanet this week on Wednesday we are hoping all goes well because we absolutely love her too. Then all this week we get to meet the Branch's investigators. We have a lot of good potentials too! The work is good! Its going to be a good week in the Kingdom! Its going to be an amazing transfer in the kingdom! 7 weeks is a long time but its just what we need!!! Wish us good luck and always pray we can have the spirit. We are now the Spanish sisters of all of Calgary! I couldn't be more excited! Love you familia have a fantastic week!!!!!

The missionaries go marching two by two....or maybe three by three

Hola Familia
So are you ready for this excitement! Okay so this week during personal study I found this really amazing scripture about the refiners fire and Hermana Morgan and I had this really inspired insight about the scripture. I was so excited to share it but here is the thing....I didn't know how to say it in Spanish. So all week I was practicing my heart out trying to learn all the words in Spanish and yesterday at dinner I shared it all by my self! WHOOO It was the coolest thing! I don't even know how I remembered all the words but I was way over the top excited! That is my downfall I think...I don't have a ton of confidence in my Spanish but yesterday its like the lord gave me a big hug and a pat on the back. Haha okay that sounds cheesy but its true. So this week this week is transfers. Haha the suspense in the mission is so real its hilarious. We saw Yanet this week but we didn't get to teach her but we have an appointment for next week. We didn't see Carla but we did see Lucy this week. She is the sweetest and she said that she really loved when we come over because she feels so peaceful. Now we just have to explain that the peace is the Spirit and she can have it with her forever if she gets baptized and receives the holy ghost. We are really hoping that they will have that desire this week. Things are changing I know that Satan is working hard but not to fear because the Lord is so much stronger!!! I wont give up on them! They are the sweetest family ever! We are hoping to get a new investigator this week!! June has been an incredible month! It really has. I am so grateful to be an Canadian Missionary! A Spanish Canadian missionary! Love you Familia have a wonderful week!!

Mr. Mayor there is snow....in the summer!!

Hola familia
I hope that you all had a fantastic week! This week has been a little bit chilly! Out of no where mother nature decided she was going to make things a little bit colder than what I would have liked. Haha we were suppose to be walking this week but it rained most the days so....the car it is. My umbrella is my best friend these days. One of the days it even snowed. It was just a light snow and it didn't stick but we were pretty surprised. Haha but then again it is Canada. This week we were not able to teach Yanet but we saw her and she is doing super well. We get to see her next week. We taught Carla and Lucy on Friday and the lesson went super well. They want to be baptized but they still have a little bit of hesitation. We praying super hard that we can help them. I got to teach two lessons all by my self. AHHHH it was super scary. I was praying so hard because I was really nervous about my Spanish but some how (because the gift of tongues is real) I did it. I had to teach them by my self because we went on exchanges and the STL's are English missionaries. This week I learned that the Lord stood beside me all week. He is amazing, this week I was really nervous about Spanish, but I heard from another missionary earlier that fear replaces faith. So I have been trying and working on that all week. I have been trying to replace my fear and just go for it. The Lord is amazing, I know that he knows Spanish perfectly and so through him I can learn it. Spanish is still hard but it is slowly getting easier. I have never felt so close to the Lord than I do out here. I love being a representative of the Lord, I think honestly it is the best feeling in the entire world. I love you familia! I hope you have a fantastic week!! I love you! The Lord loves you!

The sun shines in Canada

Hola Familia!
So this week has been really hot! Haha and I am starting to get a funny tan line from my watch....hahaha good old missionary life. This week has been really great! We taught Carla and Lucy again and the lesson went really well. We are hoping to get them a date for baptism this week if all goes well. The Mandarin Elders got us a referral this week that we were super excited about! Its funny how they got it too, apparently they went to this house because it was listed as a Mandarin address or something and when they knocked on the door it was a Spanish Lady from Santiago Chile. We went and saw her this week and she is incredible!!! She is the sweetest lady ever! She has so many questions about prophets and the Plan of Salvation! We are going back to start the lessons with her this week! We are so excited! Its so interesting, there are seriously no coincidences. The Lord has everything timed perfectly! We taught Yanet again but we found out this week that she wasn't actually married....she had been saying her husband the whole time but they aren't married. So haha the next lesson is Commandments I guess. Oh my goodness we went on an adventure for P-day last week! It was so much fun we went to the zoo! I haven't been to the zoo since I was like 5! Haha I turned into a little kid again! It was so much fun! I almost got attacked by this peacock that was just roaming around the zoo. Haha actually I didn't get attacked but...it squawk at us and kind of chase us...hahaha maybe it didn't like that I was taking its picture. But it was still super fun! Our week this week is going to be super busy but we are way excited! We have some potentials that we are going to meet with which is super exciting! The work of the Lord is good!! It's the best being a sister missionary, because we get to teach a lot of the single sisters (investigators/less actives) and they are super amazing!! The work continues to grow in Canada and its amazing!!!
Love you Familia!!!
