Back to the north?!?!

ESL!!

Hola Familia
Wow the adventure is going to be so real up here in Canada. There is a new Spanish sister and Elder coming on Wednesday but we are even numbers in the Spanish program so....there are two three legs in the branch. Hermana Ratliff and Hermana Morgan are training the new Hermana in the Branch and I am being transferred to the Ward in the North with Hermana Dean. Crazy! I am excited for sure! The last time I was in the Ward I did not speak Spanish well at all and now I get to go back and understand and talk to these people. I am so excited! This week was incredible! We had two lessons with Adriana and she is so amazing! She is one of the most prepared people I have ever met. She is just so sweet. We had a lesson on Monday and then we had another lesson on Saturday. It was so funny because her husband is away working right now and she had this big piece of furniture that she had to move. So....we asked the Elders (heaven knows we can't lift it). It was SO funny! It was super heavy and the hall way was too small. Then we had to try and fit it in the Elevator. We finally get it down stairs and she didn't have a key to get it into the garage......she also doesn't speak English so Hermana Ratliff and I are going around the building asking people if they have a key. Hahahaha long story short after a good hour the elders dragged this massive wood cabinet thing from the 4th floor. hahahaha so funny! After we had this amazing lesson with her about the Restoration and Joseph Smith. The spirit was so strong and she is incredible. I have no doubt it wont be long for this incredible family!  The adventure was real. It was kind of hard saying goodbye yesterday at church to the Branch member. They for sure changed me life! I am very excited for transfers though and exited for this new part of the mission. Love you all familia.

Sometimes you just have to laugh

This week was a really good week. We were able to set up some really good appointments for this up coming week and visit our less actives. We had some really spiritual lessons with the less actives in the branch. I love them so much. The thing that I love the most is that they still have testimonies and when they share them its the most powerful thing that you can even imagine. Miguel came to church and ESL. He just got back from his family vacation in Toronto. He loved church we have lessons set up with him this week as well. I am so excited for this up coming week. Hermana Ratliff and I have been working super hard. I am so excited to see how everything turns out. We went tracking this week and people were very rude but no worries we just laughed at them and walked away. Maybe next time angry man with the bear door. Hahaha heaven knows missionaries are going to be back in this neighborhood;) The Lord loves them way to much to leave them alone. That is what I love about the Lord. He loves us so much!! Well that is it for this week. I love you so much familia!

Prayers work so well!

Hola Familia
So this week was a really good week. We were able to have a lesson with Leila and Luis. It was so awesome because Hermana Ratliff and I had both been feeling like we needed to go and see them. So we drove to there house and they weren't home. So we were both really confused and we had no idea what to do. So we prayed because there had to be some reason we were in the area right. When I opened my eyes I saw this car with a Mexican Flag sticker on the back. So  we jump out of the car and follow it. Come to find out that there is like 3 Spanish families that live in the same neighborhood as Leila and Luis. We didn't get in with any of them because there were all busy at the moment but we are for sure going back this week. But here is were the miracle came we walk back around and Leila and Luis are home! So we had a really good lesson with them as well. It was so awesome! I could see perfectly how the Lord just had a wait just a little bit longer so that we could have the lesson when they got home. We also saw the Morales this week and Carla is still getting ready to go on a mission! I am so happy for her. She is so sweet and just so amazing! There family looks so happy right now and I am so happy for that. It is so interesting to me how prayer works and how every time we pray for direction the Lord leads us exactly where we need to be. We have a lot of really good lessons set up for this week and I am so excited! I hope that you have a wonderful week familia! Love you lots

Milagros

Hola familia
So this week has been a very eventful week. I can't even believe all the work we got done. On Monday we picked up a new investigator! Her name is Luisa and she is so sweet! Such a wonderful and nice person. We talked all about the Book of Mormon and our purpose as a missionary and the spirit was so incredibly strong. It was so wonderful. Then Tuesday for District Training Meeting we talked all about our relationship with the members and it was wonderful. I love the members in the Branch so much they are such wonderful people. Hermana Ratliff and I have been working really hard to find new investigators because some of our investigators let us know they didn't want to continue with the lessons this week. But that didn't get us down. We went strait back to work and it was incredible because we decided that we were going to make a goal to follow the spirit all day. So we were driving to an appointment and we pulled over and prayed on where we needed to go. I prayed over all the potential investigators and it was amazing because Hermana Ratliff felt so strongly about this one name on the list. Santiago. So we drove over there knocked on the door and it was this sweet old lady named Miracles. Isn't that a funny coincidence. She is a sweet old lady from Spain whose husband passed away just recently. We gave her a plan of salvation pamphlet and we are going back next week. Next we called a former investigator of the Elders two years ago. We had an appointment with them that night and it was such a wonderful lesson. They talked about how they felt an amazing feeling in their hearts when they heard  or read the Book of Mormon and loved it. We have an appointment with them next week. We taught Miguel and he came to church on Sunday. He said he would read the Book or Mormon and he really likes learning. He is from Peru hahaha and its so funny because I tell him every time that Chantelle served there and he is so funny and amazed and excited every time. He had missionaries in Peru and has been coming to ESL since I transferred into the branch in August. I am so glad that we get to teach him and that he wants to learn to more. Well familia there are so many milagros right around the corner. I am so grateful to serve here. Love you! have a wonderful week!

Transfer week!!!

Hola Familia
Looks like another transfer in Foothills! Hahaha I am so incredibly happy! I love this area so much and I was so scared to be transferred up to the North. I know I have been here six months but I have never been so grateful in a transfer before. I love the branch and there is still so much Potential! So my new comp is Hermana Ratliff from July and oh my goodness I love her to death! She is one of my dearest friends in the mission and one of the hardest workers I know. She has set up all the work in the North and me and my comps have set up all the work here in the South and now we are companions. It have been a fun couple of days. We are both so excited about the work we are going to be able to do. We have so much potential and I couldn't be more happy. We planned and have a goals set for the transfer and I have a feeling it is going to be a good transfer. It really is amazing to see the hands of the Lord. There is still a lot of things that need to get done but this area is awesome! It really is amazing. So grateful to still be in the Foothills serving in the branch! It's going to a great transfer and I am so excited for the work that we have ahead of us. The Lord atonement it real. I don't know how it really works all I know is that it does work. It works and not just for our sins, but for reals it works with everything. I am grateful that through my mission so far I have had the chance to become so close to the Savior and I can't wait to see the many incredible things that will happen this transfer. The Lord has an incredible plan and I am so glad that I get to be apart of it!
